Hello there! <\/em><\/strong>Thank you so much for stopping by. My name is Emily (known online as Wildlife Emily).<\/em><\/p>

The Story Behind this Store<\/h2>

I\u2019ve been sharing content across social media (especially Instagram!<\/u><\/a>) all to do with wildlife <\/strong>for a long time now. My goal is to help raise awareness of some of the ridiculously overlooked declines<\/strong> taking place across the world. One of my recent obsessions has been insect decline. <\/strong>Did you know that experts believe around 40% of insect species are at risk of extinction?! How truly terrifying <\/em>is that?<\/p>

\"htcxrhk1fyrdb6eraw89dwfxmhdvmlyd904xbvu5zm00udiq.jpeg.jpeg?w=1140&v=2\"For a long time, I\u2019ve wanted to do more with my voice \u2014 I\u2019ve wanted to help bring nature to more people\u2019s attention\u2026 because most people just don\u2019t have the time to think <\/em>about nature, let alone want to protect it. So, I started thinking about my next steps.<\/strong><\/p>

First of all, I\u2019m going to keep up with my social media content. <\/strong>I\u2019m going to keep sharing posts that raise awareness and aim to educate more people. I enjoy it, and I know it\u2019s making a difference.<\/p>

Secondly, I wanted to start bringing nature into people\u2019s lives a little more. <\/strong>Changing people\u2019s opinions is hard<\/em>. Changing people\u2019s habits is even harder. <\/em>It\u2019s much easier to reach out to people where they already are. So, for a long time, I began to think about creating nature-themed products (\u2018goodies\u2019, if you like) that people would want to put up in their homes, wear as clothing, and send to others. <\/strong>So that\u2019s exactly what I decided to do.<\/p>

A few weeks ago, I came down with a really nasty cold that left me sofa-bound for almost a week. During that time, I finally put my plan into action, creating what you\u2019re looking at now: Wildlife Emily\u2019s Store!<\/strong><\/p>

The Launch<\/h2>

Over the past week, I\u2019ve been receiving a few sample products from the store, including what is currently my favourite product, the \u2018Away with the Butterflies\u2019 Wall Art design<\/u><\/a> (it\u2019s gorgeous and it\u2019s going up in my office above the desk just as soon as I can convince my boyfriend to drill a hole in the wall). Today, I decided I couldn\u2019t wait any longer \u2014 I wanted to shout about all my cool products to everyone I knew!<\/strong> So, I headed outside (in the drizzly rain) with my bag of goodies and took a whole heap of photographs.<\/p>

I was a little worried about what my friends and family might say (people I knew in real life, essentially!). What if I thought what I had created was fabulous\u2026 but no one else did? It\u2019s always scary, putting yourself out there, but I decided to do it anyway.<\/strong><\/p>

Thankfully, I\u2019ve only heard positive things so far\u2026<\/strong><\/p>
